Philosophy

I believe in the innate power of each individual.

I believe that each of us has a great capacity to grow, search, love, find joy and peace – and to have fun!

I believe that all people make mistakes and get lost or stuck, but I also believe we all have within ourselves the ability to find the way forward. We all have times when we are in a dark place and can’t see forward. It passes. The challenge is to believe, while we are in the middle of it, that the darkness will pass.

I do not believe we ‘move on’ so much as ‘move through’ life’s challenges with lots of bumps and bruises, and times of great joy and peace.

I recognize within everyone a desire to connect. I am amazed by the power of one individual in another’s life. A word, a touch, a look – these can lift us.

I think that humor holds us up and together. Many parts of life are ridiculous. I like to draw out humor as it brings a new perspective to the darker times of life.

I find each life and story to be exciting, and I am fascinated by the transformation that occurs in people’s lives.
